In January 2014 The House - a Local Church launched at Rock Island High School and later moved to the current location in the old Seaford Sewing Factory at the gateway to downtown Rock Island. Over the years The House has grown in its antiracism, worked to be affirming and inclusive to everyone, and continued sharing the love of Jesus with Rock Island and the Quad Cities!
OUR MISSION / VALUES / VISION
MISSION: The House is a church that exists to, Invite People In, Call Prodigals Home, and Adopt the Spiritually Homeless.
VALUES: We believe no one should be left out.
We are a church that seeks to partner with other churches in the Quad Cities.
And we are a church that will plant more life-giving churches, because everyone deserves to Rest, Live, and Work in a great house.
VISION: We want to see a massive shift from spiritual homelessness, to a strong, undeniable sense of spiritual family in Rock Island and the Quad Cities!

"In essentials Unity, in non-essentials Liberty, in all things Charity."
We view the Nicene Creed as common doctrinal ground embraced by the global church, guiding us to focus on what is central while avoiding quarrels over disputable matters (Romans 14).
We view the Nicene Creed as common doctrinal ground embraced by the global church, guiding us to focus on what is central while avoiding quarrels over disputable matters (Romans 14).
We believe the Bible is the divinely inspired story of the perfect God, written and recorded by imperfect people (2 Timothy 3:14-16).
We welcome all persons and have no leadership limits based on race, gender, identity, sexual orientation, or physical ability, for those who confess Jesus Christ is Lord (Romans 10:9).
